New York, 8 July 2009 – BGCantor Market Data, L.P., (BGCantor Market Data) a leading market data provider and a brand of BGC Partners, Inc. (BGC Partners) today announced that Bloomberg will be offering data from ELX Futures, L.P. (ELX Futures). Data is distributed for ELX Futures by BGCantor Market Data and will be available on all Bloomberg terminals as well as on B-Pipe upon the launch of the exchange.
ELX Futures, which is owned by a consortium of financial institutions, is scheduled to begin live trading on July 10. Initially the exchange will begin trading Treasury futures contracts on two-year, five-year, 10-year notes and 30-year bonds, as well as calendar spreads. ELX Futures data will be provided free of charge for an introductory period of at least one year.
Market data products currently available from BGCantor Market Data include fixed income, foreign exchange and derivative products from BGC Partners. Bloomberg will offer BGC Partners’ US Treasury cash data directly alongside ELX Futures’ Treasury futures data, with both available from BGCantor. BGC Partners is also the technology provider for ELX Futures.
