BGC Brokers L.P. as a Benchmark Administrator under UK BMR
BGC Brokers L.P. (“BGC”) is registered by the FCA as a benchmark administrator in accordance with the UK Benchmarks Regulation (the Benchmarks (Amendment and Transitional Provision) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019) (“UK BMR”).
As an administrator, BGC is responsible for developing, maintaining, and providing a series of indexes and benchmarks that provide mid-prices for various swap instruments for which BGC (and related group companies or subsidiaries) offers broking services.
The benchmarks administered by BGC are designed in accordance with the applicable requirements of the UK BMR and the Principles for Financial Benchmarks published by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (“IOSCO”) on 17 July 2013 (“IOSCO Principles”).
